Nicecast Updated To Version 1.7, Audio Hijack Pro Named Utility Of The Year

Princeton, NJ - Rogue Amoeba Software is pleased to celebrate the first birthday of the award-winning Nicecast by making version 1.7 available for download. Nicecast, has previously recently received an Honorable Mention in the 2004 OS X Innovators contest by O'Reilly, in addition to winning a Best Of Show award at Macworld San Francisco 2004. Users the world over work with Nicecast Nicecast to create their own internet radio stations or just to listen to their own iTunes Music Libraries from anywhere.

New in version 1.7, Nicecast now allows for full custom MP3 settings, and features an enhanced VoiceOver plugin. The VoiceOver buffer can now be adjusted to reduce latency, and VoiceOvers will now work without needing background audio. Also included in this free update is an updated Effects window with parallel routing and support for Cocoa AudioUnits, as well as Advanced Audio Device options and an updated Instant Hijack component. This update is the first to require OS X 10.3, and it is free for registered users.

The award was announced at the MacUser awards ceremony on November 18th, in London, England. Since version 2 of the Mac's premier audio recording tool was released in July of this year, it has received steady praise from critics and customers alike.
