Greetings, friend of Rogue Amoeba! Today, we bring good tidings of great Audio Hijack updates, full MacOS 14 support, and even an exclusive discount just for you.
This year, our flagship recording tool Audio Hijack has received two major updates.
Earlier this month, we shipped Audio Hijack 4.3 with a brand-new “Transcribe” block. Transcribe acts as your own personal stenographer, letting you turn spoken audio into text. We’ve been blown away at the great user response Transcribe has gotten.
It has no per-minute charges and everything happens securely, right on your Mac. From podcasters looking to create transcripts for their audiences to workers who want searchable records of meetings held via Zoom, Transcribe is proving incredibly useful.
For our audiophile users, we also added three amazing audio processing blocks in Audio Hijack 4.2. The new Parametric EQ, Speech Denoise, and FIR Filter blocks each provide fast and powerful audio adjustments.
These updates are free for all owners of Audio Hijack 4, so make sure you have the latest version. If you’re still using Audio Hijack 3, you can still upgrade to version 4 for just $29.
If you haven’t used Audio Hijack recently (or at all), why not take the time learn about it? It’s the Mac’s most beloved audio tool for a reason.
This summer, we spent several months working to support Apple’s latest Mac operating system, MacOS 14 (Sonoma). With those efforts, we had initial support for Sonoma before its release, with additional improvements made since. Now, all seven of our products have full support for Sonoma.
Be sure you have the latest versons of Airfoil, Audio Hijack, Farrago, Fission, Loopback, Piezo, and SoundSource. Once you do, you’ll be ready to upgrade your Mac.
Black Friday? Cyber Monday? They’re not for us. We skip the constant sales and gimmicks and charge fair prices 365 days a year. Still, we think loyal newsletter readers like you deserve something special.
So today, we’ll celebrate “Rogue Thursday”, and we’ll keep it going for the rest of November. It probably won’t catch on outside our company, but as a Rogue Amoeba insider, you can save 23% off any purchase for the next two weeks.
If you’ve had your eye on one of our products, head over to our store. Just be sure to use discount code ROGUETHURSDAY by November 30.
Check it out, and don’t miss the wild size comparison against original (1984) Macintosh icons.
It’s hard to believe, but we’ve got even more in the pipeline. Though we only email this list a couple of times each year, we offer many other ways to keep in touch. We post more frequently to our blog, and we’re active on many social media platforms, including:
• Bluesky
• Facebook
• Instagram
• Mastodon
• Micro.blog
• Threads
We should have several exciting updates to share soon, so stay tuned.
Until next time,
Paul Kafasis & the entire Rogue Amoeba Team
