RS IconWe released our newest product Radioshift earlier this week, and it's been a big hit thus far. We'd like to thank everyone for checking it out and providing great feedback. We've got big plans for the future of Radioshift - 1.0 is just the beginning.

However, Radioshift 1.0 had a few more bugs than we'd like (where the number we'd like is 0), and we've been working hard on fixing that. As such, we've now got version 1.0.1 available for download. This update fixes issues with the Send to iTunes function and MP3 recording, as well as improving the automatically waking from Sleep functionality.

Learn more on the Radioshift web page or download Radioshift version 1.0.1 immediately. Of course, this is a free update for existing customers, and the same low $32 for new purchases.

Feature requests:
1.  Some way to automatically transfer recordings to iTunes.  A really great way would be to have Radioshift set up a local webserver with an RSS feed that iTunes could access as a podcast.
2.  Auto-expiration and deletion of episodes.
3.  Record a show already in progress.
4.  Customization for naming episodes: timestamping, for instance.
5.  Customization for episode genre.
6.  The stream URL should be available in a info field for a channel.
7.  The bitrate/quality of the channel should be displayed.
8.  Per-show audio format.  Talk shows do not need as many kbits as music, for instance.

That "available for download" link in your blog entry is broken!

RadioShift 1.01.  Where are the files stored??  I've looked in the
~/Library/Applicaion Support/RadioShift folder and they aren't in there.

There are no controls to Fast Forward or Rewind through the files.

SoundStudio3 doesn't open the audio file, BUT I could, apparently, use SoundStudio 3 to re-record it.  The Edit Audio button in RS doesn't seem to really give me the ability to EDIT the file itself.

Are these "features" or "bugs"??

I paid for the software before seeing these "left out" features.

I don't agree that you can say $32 is a low price. It's not.

1.0.1 is also really buggy and I must agree with the comments made by people on VersionTracker, many of whom are disappointed. For instance "I'm a big fan of Rogue Amoebas apps but Radioshift doesn't deliver. It has become unresponsive many times today, it had plain crashed a few times, and on other occassions it tells me a station is playing but I hear no audio. Also what's the point of listing a heap of stations that don't have streams?"

For me, it seems beauty of substance but I'll be interested to check out later versions.

$32 absolutely IS cheap. I used this for about 45 minutes, and purchased right away, because it's great.

I'm not seeing any of the problems you are, so I'd guess your system is to blame. But maybe try emailing them for help? Their support has helped me in the past.

link to 1.0.1 does not work for me either. A bit disappointed as I have been looking for a recorder like this for some time. Hope future updates iron out the bugs!

I downloaded the demo (1.0.1) and the first program I set up to record (To The Best Of Our Knowledge) won't work.  I have checked all the preference settings (wake from sleep, etc.) and it's all in order.  The icon in the subscriptions has a little exclamation point on it.  I've searched the manual looking for troubleshooting tips, but to no avail.  Am I doing something stupid or what?
