Forget 1-Click Purchasing...
We've got 0-Click broadcasting. That's right, once you've got Nicecast setup fully, you can optionally be broadcasting just by opening it. Even if you don't set Nicecast up this way, configuration is still very simple. Broadcasting is now fun for ages 8 to 80.
With version 1.8, Nicecast is easier to setup than ever before. We've added support for both UPnP and NAT-PMP (Apple's own configuration protocol, found in newer AirPort Base Stations), which means many routers will be automatically configured to allow outside listeners. If your router supports UPnP or NAT-PMP, you can open up Nicecast, sit back, and relax.
Broadcast Live Events
Wherever you go, Nicecast can join you. If you have a laptop, you can use it to broadcast almost anything, from physics lectures to basketball games, from rock concerts to the next gig you're DJ'ing. Use the built-in microphone on your laptop, or plug in even better equipment, from higher-quality microphones to a direct line to the audio mixing board. Nicecast takes in any input and broadcasts it back out to the Internet.
iTunes...Anywhere?
A long time ago, in an iTunes far, far away (version 4.0.0), it was possible to remotely access your own music library from any copy of iTunes in the world. Unfortunately, Apple removed this feature. However, with Nicecast, you can get the next best thing. Set iTunes up playing a huge playlist of your music (or even your entire library), and broadcast it with Nicecast. Now you can turn on and tune in to your own personal Favorites radio station. You'll know it's the music you want to hear, and best of all, no commercials.
Professional Quality, Amateur Prices
Nicecast comes bundled with 16 of our own .4fx plugins for adjusting and improving your audio, as well as full support for VST and AudioUnit plugins. We also bundle in a dozen free VST plugins and access the dozen Apple AudioUnits installed on your system by default! That's 40 different plugins included with your purchase for you to use to tweak your audio, and support for thousands more! Up to 100 different plugins can be used concurrently.
Think Outside Your Box
Hardware MP3 players such as the Slim Device's Squeezebox and Roku's SoundBridge are more popular than ever. With these devices and Nicecast, you can play all your audio files, including encrypted AAC, Real and WMP files, on your home stereo. Simply set up a Nicecast stream to broadcast your music, and then tune in to the stream with the hardware device - Excellent.
Ramble On!
Using the included VoiceOver Effect, you'll be able to add your own DJ input over your stream. Announce track names, talk about the band, or even read the latest headlines, all in between songs.
Much, Much More
Adjustable quality settings, listener statistics, audio effects to enhance sound quality, and so much more. Download Nicecast today, and try it out. Before you know it, you'll be On The Air.
