We've Got MacOS 12 (Monterey) Compatibility

Apple recently shipped MacOS 12 (Monterey), the newest version of the Mac's operating system, and our products are ready for it. It wasn't easy, but we had support for the new OS even before Apple shipped it.

We're working on some additional releases to fine-tune things, but our latest versions all work great on Monterey. You can get these free updates right from our site. Just download the latest and you'll be set for Monterey.

Big Improvements in SoundSource 5.3

We've had almost 50 free releases across our product lineup in 2021, but our biggest update thus far was to SoundSource. As you may already know, SoundSource gives you powerful audio control on your Mac, with easy access to your system sound settings, as well as per-application audio adjustments, and the ability to add effects to any audio.

In the latest version, SoundSource adds:

• Quicker device switching: Change devices via ludicrously fast keyboard shortcuts.
• Improved audio effects support: Now with easy effects bypassing and crash-proof Audio Unit hosting.
• Enhanced Undo support: It's a breeze to revert settings changes.

Get Early Access With Test Releases

Here at Rogue Amoeba, we've always handled our QA in-house, and thus never had a public beta testing program. Nevertheless, generous users frequently ask if they can help test our software.

We recently unveiled a new system of test releases, specifically for these helpful users. It allows access to new features faster, while also helping to squash bugs before they reach our entire userbase. Best of all, it's easy to opt in to (and out of as well).

Test releases aren't quite as vetted as our official releases, but they are generally quite polished and fit for daily use. You can use them to access new features before their official release and possibly help us catch issues before they ship widely as well.
