Compatibility with Big Sur and Apple M1 Chip-Based Macs

November was a big month for Apple, as they shipped both a new OS and revolutionary new Macs. The entire team here at Rogue Amoeba has been hard at work for many months to prepare for these transitions.

All of our products are now compatible with MacOS 11 (Big Sur), via free updates available from our site. Major OS upgrades are a challenge for developers, and we're proud to be compatible with the new OS from day one. If you've updated to Big Sur, or you're planning to do so soon, just make sure you've downloaded the latest versions.

In addition, all of our products offer initial compatibility with the new M1 chip-based Macs, the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini. Downloads for these Macs are available from our Status page. Though we aren't recommending using these versions for production use yet (hence the “public beta” label), we've seen no issues with them thus far.
